## The trade and relevant skills

The following outlines this trade. Specific tasks and working arrangements depend on the project and are clarified before work begins.

- Surface preparation: assessing the substrate, cleaning and preparing it for finishing.
- Levelling walls and ceilings, plastering, filling and sanding.
- Priming, painting and checking finish quality, using manual or mechanised methods appropriate to the task.
